About the project:

The objective of the project is to develop a modular, custom-made, smart cabinet for storage which automatically recognizes person and products/material placed in or taken out of the cabinet.
In order to achieve set aim, project partners will jointly develop software and hardware for “SOF cabinet” and provide service and support to customers.
The SOF cabinet main advantage is its easy adaptability for every industry/purpose and its contactless technology. With apperance of coronavirus disease, the demand for contacless technology has increased. SOF cabinet is based on RFID system and can quickly respond on requirements of coronavirus measures. One of the main measures is to reduce direct human contact.

The second innovative character of the cabinet is modularity (competitive advantage) since there are no modular cabinets on the market. The customer can purchase one cabinet, in which it can regulate the number and size of needed compartments,add others modules according to storage needs.

Due to the possibility of connecting to the Internet,each client can connect multiple cabinets,whether it is cabinets in different buildings or even on different continents.It should be especially emphasized that it is necessary to reduce direct human contact in the exchange of goods, according COVID regulation.Therefore,this compact cabinet is designed as a safety link in the warehouse supply chain management.

The contribution to business clients is rooted in the high-quality product in combination with a competitive price.Furthermore,customers have the advantage when the partner is reliable and flexible.Reliability is mainly reflected in the ability to deliver the orders and flexibility is reflected in the ability to respond quickly to the changing needs of customers.

Beneficiaries

The Lead partner (Light Beneficiary 1 – LB1) is O.M.T. d.o.o a limited liability company in Croatia who deals with the metal production and has been active in machining for more than two decades, all over the European Union. The company was founded in 1997, founders Ivan Sokač and Stanislav Vadas are directors and sole owners, each 50%. The core business is NACE C Manufacturing, C25.6 - Treatment and coating of metals; machining. The main activity of the company is production, especially milling, turning, grinding and laser marking. The production program is based on the parts for the printing industry, construction machinery, trains and goods wagons, mining machinery and equipment, machines for the auto industry, machines for manufacturing rubber and similar.

Business strategy in the medium term is to invest in increasing the plant's space and manufacturing capacity. Along with increasing capacity, we plan to hire 8 metal engineers and increase revenues for 10 – 15%. Since establishing the company has been continuously investing in the development and modernization of production, business processes, employees, infrastructure and equipment, in order to provide the highest quality products for customers. This project fits in the company mission to continuously invest in new and innovative products in order to improve level of competitiveness and increase level of international cooperation.

TAGnology Ltd. (Light Beneficiary 2 – LB2) has been established in 2006 as a microenterprise and is a development-oriented company in the IT sector, in Croatia. With scientific curiosity and innovation spirit, the company achieved the status of one of the leaders in the system integrator field with the flexibility to respond to the most complex demand of their clients. The development and core of TAGnology Ltd. activities are based on radio frequency identification solutions (RFID) and Industry 4.0. The mission of TAGnology is new requests for areas of application where contactless identification can ease everyday life and effectively design processes and operations. Most of the implemented projects were in the RFID industry, with special emphasis on intralogistics, logistic processes and automatic identification. Csejtei Fém-Vill Ltd. (Light Beneficiary 3 – LB3) was founded in 2000 by József Csejtei, as a legal successor of a private enterprise which had operated since 1984 in Hungary. The initially small locksmith's workshop has grown into a stable small company, which currently employs 63 employees. Our main profile is sheet metal processing as well as unique and small series manufacture of metal structures of power distribution and control aparatus, especially electric distribution units; over and above fabrication of parts required for the installation of these boxes, and the production of copper and aluminum rails. Company's main activity is CNC sheet metal processing with complex services – CNC Punching, CNC Laser cutting, CNC Bending & Robot, bending, various Weldings: spot, MIG, TIG. Assembly of components: riveting, threading, PEM insertation. Powder painting with high capacity conveyor carried painting line. Complete assembly capability for cabinets, rack and box size units.
